Whitby, Ontario – The Regional Municipality of Durham, Works Department is advising residents that Victoria Street East (Regional Road 22) from Lake Ridge Road (Regional Road 23) to Seaboard Gate has been closed due to localized flooding and to accommodate related road repairs.

Canada Day holiday will affect blue box recycling collection schedule

Whitby, Ontario – The Regional Municipality of Durham, Works Department would like to remind residents of changes to scheduled curbside Blue Box collection in observance of Canada Day.

When: July 3 to 8.

Where: Residents in the City of Oshawa and the Town of Whitby will temporarily have their collection moved to the following day.

Durham Region road projects affected by contractor's labour disruption

Whitby, Ontario – The Regional Municipality of Durham, Works Department would like to advise the public that due to the labour disruption with LiUNA Local 183, several Regional road construction projects will stop work immediately. This union represents contract workers in the paving industry employed by Coco Paving and other companies. There are currently three Regional road construction projects that involve Coco Paving.
