Durham Region excels in water quality

Whitby, Ontario – In 2016, The Regional Municipality of Durham once again met or went beyond the requirements of the Safe Drinking Water Act, 2002. The act sets out the standards for the operation, treatment and testing of municipal drinking water systems. Bloor Street West in Oshawa to be closed for construction

Whitby, Ontario – The Regional Municipality of Durham, Works Department would like to advise residents and businesses that construction work will close Bloor Street West (Regional Road 22) from 50 metres west of Simcoe Street to 250 metres west of Simcoe Street, including the Highway 401 off-ramp, in Oshawa.

Region of Durham testing Public Alerting System

Whitby, Ontario – Residents and businesses are advised that the Region of Durham will be conducting its annual spring testing of the Public Alerting System within the 10-kilometre area around the Darlington and Pickering Nuclear Generating stations.
