Today, Durham Regional Council approved the appointment of Guy W. Giorno as its Integrity Commissioner. Giorno, who is a representative of the law offices of Fasken Martineau DuMoulin LLP, will report directly to Regional Council from Jan. 1, 2017 to Dec. 31, 2021.

Whitby, Ont. – The Regional Municipality of Durham would like to advise residents that the initial assessment of fire damage at the Durham York Energy Centre (DYEC) has been completed by JADE+, a consultant hired by the operator Covanta. The Regional Municipality of Durham, Works Department would like to advise residents that intersection improvements will require lane restrictions at the intersection of Kingston Road (Durham Highway 2) and Whites Road (Regional Road 38) in Pickering.
WHEN:
Work is underway and will continue through the winter as weather permits. The work is scheduled to be completed in November 2017. Unfavourable weather conditions may influence the work schedule.
