Whitby, Ontario – The Regional Municipality of Durham is advising residents of lane restrictions on Adelaide Avenue West in the City of Oshawa.
When: September 7 to 10 (daytime only). Unfavourable weather conditions may influence the work schedule.
Where: Adelaide Avenue West (Regional Road 58), from Gibbons Street to Nipigon Street, in Oshawa.

Whitby, Ontario – The Region of Durham is undertaking a Growth Management Study as part of Envision Durham, the Municipal Comprehensive Review of the Regional Official Plan. The first Phase of the Growth Management Study focuses on the preparation of a Land Needs Assessment.

Whitby, Ontario – The Regional Municipality of Durham is advising residents of lane restrictions and a two-day road closure on Newtonville Road (Regional Road 18) in the Municipality of Clarington.
When: Lane restrictions from September 7 to November 8. A two-day road closure will be in place from September 20 to 21. Unfavourable weather conditions may influence the work schedule.

Durham Region Weekly Beach Report - Week of August 30, 2021

Whitby, Ontario – The following represents beach-posting information for Durham Region beaches. Test results for the week of Aug. 30 indicate that six beaches have been posted as unsafe for swimming due to elevated bacteria levels. Beaches are posted as unsafe for swimming when elevated levels of E. coli exceed the provincial standard of 200 E. coli per 100 ml of water. This is the final report for the 2021 season.

Whitby, Ontario – As part of our commitment to Durham Vision Zero, The Regional Municipality of Durham is making bicycle crossings easier for cyclists, drivers and pedestrians by installing crossrides on cycling routes at designated intersections.
Where: Crossrides are installed where multi-use paths cross public roads. New installations on-going.
