Business Count returns to Durham Region

Whitby, Ontario – In an effort to help support our local businesses, Durham Region will be conducting a Business Count from May through August as part of an annual Regional project to gather employment statistics and build a stronger local economy.

Whitby, Ontario – The Regional Municipality of Durham has become aware of misconceptions in the community about the planned Mixed Waste Pre-sort and Anaerobic Digestion (AD) Facility. Durham’s population continues to grow and is expected to reach more than one million people in the next decade. Even with our successful diversion programs, more residents in Durham means more organic waste, recyclables, and garbage to manage.

Whitby, Ontario – The Regional Municipality of Durham is advising residents of road rehabilitation on Lake Ridge Road (Regional Road 23) in the Township of Uxbridge.
When: Ongoing to June 25. Unfavourable weather conditions may influence the work schedule.
Where: Lake Ridge Road, from 43 metres north of Reach Street (Regional Road 8) to 45 metres south of Regional Highway 47, in Uxbridge.
