Whitby, Ontario – The Regional Municipality of Durham is reminding residents that seasonal leaf and yard waste collection is ending December 11 and will resume in the spring of 2021.
When: The last curbside collection for seasonal leaf and yard waste will take place the week of December 7.
Residents should check their waste management calendars, visit durham.ca/waste or download the Durham Region Waste App to see their specific collection days.

Whitby, Ontario – In support of Durham Vision Zero, the Regional Municipality of Durham would like to remind drivers, pedestrians and cyclists to be vigilant and safe on the road as darkness comes earlier.
With the increase of residents staying home amid COVID-19, there are more pedestrians and cyclists out in the community. It’s also getting darker earlier during the prime hours for people to take a walk or cycle.

Whitby, Ontario – Durham Regional Council has approved a new Master Housing Strategy to improve housing access for everyone.
The Strategy aims to improve affordability and access to housing across Durham Region, while highlighting priorities in At Home in Durham, the Durham Housing Plan 2014-2024, including providing affordable rent, greater housing choice, strong and vibrant neighbourhoods, and ending homelessness.
