The Regional Municipality of Durham, Works Department would like to advise residents of overnight construction work on Kingston Road (Durham Highway 2), from Chapman Drive to Rotherglen Road North; and on Westney Road (Regional Road 31), from Ritchie Avenue to Kingston Road; in Ajax.

On Saturday, September 16, several Regional websites will experience service disruptions (be unavailable), as scheduled maintenance is performed at Regional Headquarters. Thornton Road to be closed south of Gibb Street on Tuesday for emergency rail crossing repair

Whitby, Ontario – The Regional Municipality of Durham, Works Department would like to advise residents that Thornton Road (Regional Road 52) will be closed at the rail crossing south of Gibb Street on September 5.

When: September 5 beginning at 9 a.m. Unfavourable weather conditions may influence the work schedule.

Where: Thornton Road (Regional Road 52) will be closed at the rail crossing south of Gibb Street.

Why: Canadian Pacific Railway is performing emergency track repair work.
