Whitby, Ontario - Durham Region Health Department has been notified by the Ontario Ministry of Health that there will be a delay in shipment of Pfizer vaccine affecting delivery to Durham Region mass immunization clinics. As a result of this delay, effective June 22, all clinics in Durham Region will move to offer Moderna for appointments booked by individuals 18 and older until additional Pfizer vaccine is received.

Whitby, Ontario - Durham Region Health Department has started testing waters at designated public beaches throughout the Region as part of the 2021 Beach Monitoring Program. Test results for the week of June 14 indicate that three beaches have been posted as unsafe for swimming due to elevated bacteria levels. Beaches are posted as unsafe for swimming when elevated levels of E. coli exceed the provincial standard of 200 E. coli per 100 ml of water.

Whitby, Ontario – The Regional Municipality of Durham is advising residents of lane restrictions on Westney Road South in the Town of Ajax.
When: The week of June 21. Unfavourable weather conditions may influence the work schedule.
