The Regional Municipality of Durham is seeking a post-secondary student, residing in Durham Region, to serve as a member of the Durham Environmental Advisory Committee (DEAC). The Regional Municipality of Durham, Works Department would like to advise residents and businesses that mandatory water restrictions on all non-essential outdoor water use, will be in effect from September 5 to November 20 for municipal water supply users in Port Perry, within the Township of Scugog. Yesterday, the Durham Agricultural Advisory Committee (DAAC) successfully hosted its 15th annual farm tour at Ajax Downs. The theme was “Off to the Races in Durham Region,” and covered a variety of topics including: the economic impact of the equestrian industry; race track management; animal nutrition; and a tour of the race barns.
