Whitby, Ontario – The Finance Department, Purchasing Section is pleased to announce the upcoming launch of an integrated, online eProcurement Tool—a product that will allow vendors to view, register and submit bids quickly and easily online in one convenient location.

Whitby, Ontario – Due to the efforts of Durham Region’s Economic Development’s team, a $10 million investment in the future of Cleeve Technology International (Cleeve), a high-technology company based out of Oshawa, was recently completed with a Chinese investor. Cleeve’s core business is the design and assembly of electrical cabling and support harnesses used in the aerospace and defense industries.

The Regional Municipality of Durham, Works Department would like to remind Oshawa and Whitby residents of changes to scheduled curbside Blue Box collection due to the Family Day holiday.
When: Oshawa and Whitby residents will have their Blue Box collection moved to the following day the week of Feb. 20.

Wilson Road South in Oshawa closed due to watermain break

Whitby, Ontario – The Regional Municipality of Durham, Works Department would like to advise residents and businesses that Wilson Road South is closed at the intersection of Bloor Street East, due to a watermain break.
When: Repair work is ongoing and will be completed as soon as possible.
Where: Wilson Road South is closed at the intersection of Bloor Street East (around Highway 401).
