Whitby, Ontario – The Regional Municipality of Durham advises residents of lane restrictions on Regional Highway 2, in Courtice in the Municipality of Clarington.
When: September 27 to November 12. Unfavourable weather conditions may influence the work schedule.
Where: Regional Highway 2, from Trulls Road to 150 metres east of Trulls Road, in Courtice in the Municipality of Clarington
Why: To safely construct an entrance and concrete median to support new development.

Reuse Day is Saturday! Drop off reusable items free of charge

Help keep quality, reusable items out of the waste stream by dropping off reusable items such as clothing, textiles, shoes, home décor, bedding, sporting goods and more, free of charge. Items will be donated to the Salvation Army Thrift Store.
Date: Saturday, September 18 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. (rain or shine).

Whitby, Ontario – Are you an older adult in Durham Region looking for fun new ways to get active or stay fit?
On September 21, a certified fitness instructor and Rogers TV host will host the first of a free, four-part virtual “Movin’ and Groovin’” dance class series, tailored to older residents looking to get active and fit—because it’s never too late to prioritize your health and have fun while doing it.
When: Classes are live from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m., on September 21 and 28, and October 5 and 12.

Whitby, Ontario - Durham Region Health Department and Lakeridge Health have extended the timeline for two area COVID-19 mass immunization clinics to remain open until the end of 2021. The clinics located in Ajax and Oshawa were slated to close by mid to late September, but both clinics will now remain open joining the list of walk-in, pop-up and mobile clinics being offered in numerous communities throughout Durham Region.
