Whitby, Ontario – The Regional Municipality of Durham is advising residents of northbound and southbound lane restrictions on Liberty Street North (Regional Road 14) in Bowmanville, in the Municipality of Clarington.
When: August 31 to September 11 (daytime only). Unfavourable weather conditions may influence the work schedule.
Where: Liberty Street, north of King Street East near Alexander Place and Liberty Place, in Bowmanville (Clarington).

Whitby, Ontario – The Regional Municipality of Durham, City of Oshawa and Town of Whitby, advise residents that the four-bag limit for curbside garbage collection will be returning on Tuesday, September 8, and that the sale of garbage bag tags is now available.

Health Department reports more West Nile virus positive mosquitoes

Whitby, Ontario – Durham Region Health Department has received notification of more adult mosquitoes that have tested positive for West Nile virus (WNV), with positive mosquitoes now reported at an additional mosquito trap site in Oshawa. This latest confirmation was received on Aug. 20. The first positive mosquitoes were reported from a trap located in north Oshawa on July 28.

Whitby, Ontario – In support of Durham Vision Zero, the Region of Durham will be implementing leading pedestrian intervals, pedestrian countdown signals and ladder crosswalk line markings at two intersections on Ritson Road (Regional Road 16) in Oshawa.
