Whitby, Ontario - The following represents beach-posting information for Durham Region beaches. Test results for the week of Aug. 26 indicate that two beaches have been posted as unsafe for swimming due to elevated bacteria levels. Beaches are posted as unsafe for swimming when elevated levels of E. coli exceed the Provincial standard of 200 E. coli per 100 ml of water. This report represents the Health Department’s final update for the 2019 summer season.

Service disruption: Repairs to north and south entrance doors at Regional Headquarters

There will be a scheduled service disruption at: 605 Rossland Road, Whitby, Regional Headquarters, north and south entrance doors.
The disruption will be from: Friday, August 30 at 9 a.m. until Friday, August 30 at 6 p.m.
The disruption includes: Access through the north and south entrances will be unavailable intermittently throughout the day for short periods as the doors are removed and reinstalled.
