Whitby, Ontario – The Regional Municipality of Durham is inviting the public to review and comment on the Municipal Class Environmental Assessment Study to improve Pringle Creek Bridge on Brock Street South (Regional Road 46) in the Town of Whitby.
When: August 13 to September 26.
Where: Bridge over Pringle Creek on Brock Street South, located approximately 700 metres south of Victoria Street, in the Town of Whitby.
Why: The existing bridge was fully re-constructed in 1962 and now requires rehabilitation....

Whitby, Ontario – The following represents beach-posting information for Durham Region beaches. Test results for the week of Aug. 10 indicate that two beaches have been posted as unsafe for swimming due to elevated bacteria levels. Beaches are posted as unsafe for swimming when elevated levels of E. coli exceed the provincial standard of 200 E. coli per 100 ml of water.

Whitby, Ontario – The Regional Municipality of Durham is advising residents of lane restrictions on Simcoe Street near Coates Road in the City of Oshawa.
When: Ongoing until November 2020. Unfavourable weather conditions may influence the work schedule.

Whitby, Ontario – The Regional Municipality of Durham is advising residents of a road closure of Brock Street South (Regional Road 46) in the Town of Whitby due to a watermain break.
When: Road closure is expected to be in place until the repairs are complete. Please note that unfavourable weather conditions may influence the work schedule.
