Trails
We have more than 350 kilometres of recreational trails in Durham Region.
Durham's trails offer beautiful landscapes. They have fabulous four-season recreational opportunities. These include the Great Lakes Waterfront Trail and the Oak Ridges Moraine.
Regional Council created the Durham Active Transportation Committee (DATC). This committee gives advice to the Region of Durham on active transportation matters: urban, rural, utilitarian and recreational (including trails).
Learn more about the DATC's activities and plans:
- Terms of Reference guides the committee's actions.
- Annual Workplan highlights main goals for the year.
- Regional Trail Network frames long-range trail planning and development.
- Agendas and minutes documents future and past meetings and agendas.
