Adult Day Programs offer support for those living with dementia and other cognitive impairments
Whitby, Ontario – Adults who require support – including adults living with cognitive impairments such as dementia – can participate in the Adult Day Programs for supervised therapeutic, social and recreational programming. The Adult Day Programs offer socialization, well-being and quality of life, while providing caregivers and family members with a break for some personal time.
What: Adult Day Programs include exercise and wellness programs, arts and crafts, gardening, visiting with pets, music and more. Participants receive a hot lunch and snacks, and assistance with personal care.
Where: Adult Day Programs are offered in Beaverton, Oshawa and Port Perry. To apply for the Adult Day Programs, contact Home and Community Care Support Services at 905-430-3308 or toll-free at 1-800-263-3877.
