Applications are open for the CSWB Fund: Building Safer Communities Grants Program
Whitby, Ontario – In partnership with Public Safety Canada, Durham Region has opened applications for the Community Safety and Well-Being (CSWB) Fund: Building Safer Communities Grants program, to support small, not-for-profit organizations and community groups with violence prevention projects in Durham Region communities.
Applications to receive funding should be in alignment with, and further the goals and implementation of, the Durham Region CSWB Plan and the Durham Region Strategic Plan.
Successful applications will provide opportunities to vulnerable and at-risk children and youth in Durham Region and help steer them away from gun and gang violence, by addressing the underlying social conditions that give rise to crime.
More information on the grant program and how to apply is available at durham.ca/CSWB-Fund.
When: September 15 to October 15.
Where: To apply, please complete the online application form.
Why: Durham Region is committed to working toward the community safety and well-being of all community members through implementation of the Durham Region CSWB Plan.
