Applications being accepted for a community member appointment to the DRPSB
Whitby, Ontario – The Regional Municipality of Durham is now accepting applications from residents who would like to serve as a community member on the Durham Regional Police Services Board (DRPSB). The term of this appointment is four years and coincides with the term of Regional Council.
When: Interested residents are requested to submit a completed application form to the Regional Clerk by 4:30 p.m. on Thursday, October 27.
How: Application forms are available on durham.ca/Committees, or by contacting the Legislative Services Division at 905-668-7711 or by email at appointments@durham.ca.

Where: The appointed community member will be expected to attend monthly board meetings at The Regional Municipality of Durham Headquarters, 605 Rossland Road East, Whitby.
Why: The DRPSB is the civilian governing body of the police service. The Police Services Act requires that the DRPSB include a community member appointed by resolution of the Regional Council, who is neither a member of Regional Council, nor an employee of The Regional Municipality of Durham.
