Bayly Street in Ajax to be closed this weekend

Whitby, Ontario – The Regional Municipality of Durham, Works Department would like to advise residents that Bayly Street (Regional Road 22) in Ajax will be closed this weekend between Harwood Avenue and Westney Road South. Detours will be posted. Access to all local businesses will be maintained through alternate routes, although the road will be fully closed at the CN Rail crossing.

When: Friday, August 25 at 10 a.m. to Monday August 28 at 6 a.m. Unfavourable weather conditions may influence the work schedule.

Where: Access will be limited on Bayly Street, between Harwood Avenue and Westney Road South, in the Town of Ajax. The road will be fully closed at the CN Rail crossing (200 metres east of Westney Road).

Why: CN Rail is performing track crossing maintenance.

Note: Access to all local businesses will be maintained. The Region realizes that the work may be disruptive, and will make every effort to complete the work as quickly and efficiently as possible. Drivers are asked to exercise caution for the safety of pedestrians, cyclists and construction workers.
