Beaver River Bridge in Beaverton closed for repairs
Whitby, Ontario – The Regional Municipality of Durham is advising residents that the Beaver River Bridge in Beaverton will be temporarily closed to traffic for repairs.
When: Starting November 9 for approximately two to three months. Unfavourable weather conditions may influence the work schedule.
Where: The Beaver River Bridge, which connects Simcoe Street (Regional Road 15) over the Beaver River, located in the community of Beaverton in the Township of Brock.
Why: To safely complete necessary repairs on the bridge. Detour route signs will be posted.
Note: This notice is an update to ongoing work on the Beaver River Bridge (durham.ca/BeaverRiverBridge). The Region realizes that the construction work will be disruptive and will make every effort to complete the work as quickly and efficiently as possible.
Drivers, cyclists and pedestrians are reminded to exercise additional caution.
