Blue box recycling collection schedule changes due to Thanksgiving

Whitby, Ontario – The Regional Municipality of Durham, Works Department would like to remind residents of changes to scheduled curbside blue box collection due to the Thanksgiving holiday.

When: October 8 to 13.

Where: Residents in the City of Oshawa and the Town of Whitby only, will temporarily have their blue box collection moved to the next day. Garbage and green bin collection for Oshawa and Whitby residents is the responsibility of the individual municipalities, not the Region of Durham. These residents are asked to check their waste calendars or contact their local municipality regarding collection of these items.

Why: These changes are taking place due to the Thanksgiving Day holiday.
