Brock Road in Claremont to be closed October 11 and 12 for rail crossing maintenance

Whitby, Ontario –

The Regional Municipality of Durham, Works Department would like to advise residents that Brock Road (Regional Road 1) will be closed between Central Street/Myrtle Road (Regional Road 5) and Goodwood Road (Regional Road 21) for two days next week.

WHEN:

October 11 and 12. Unfavourable weather conditions may influence the work schedule.

WHERE:

Brock Road (Regional Road 1) will be closed (except for local traffic) between Central Street/Myrtle Road and Goodwood Road, in the community of Claremont. No through traffic will be permitted on Brock Road between Central Street/Myrtle Road and Old Brock Road. Detours will be posted.

WHY:

CP Rail is performing track crossing maintenance.

NOTE:

The Region realizes that the work may be disruptive. Drivers are asked to exercise caution for the safety of pedestrians, cyclists and construction workers.
