Brock Street South and Water Street re-opened in Whitby

Whitby, Ontario – The Regional Municipality of Durham, Works Department is advising residents that Brock Street South and Water Street in Whitby has been re-opened, but with a temporary weight restriction of five tonnes per axle. The street was closed as a precautionary measure during flooding.

When: Brock Street South and Water Street is now open, but the weight restriction will remain in effect until further notice.

Where: Brock Street South and Water Street (Regional Road 46), from Front Street to 350 metres south of the Brock Street bridge, in the Town of Whitby.

Why: The street was closed as a precaution due to localized flooding.
