Chair Henry proclaims June as Seniors Month in Durham Region

Whitby, Ontario – The following statement is being issued on behalf of John Henry, Regional Chair and Chief Executive Officer for The Regional Municipality of Durham:

“In honour of Seniors Month, I would like to celebrate the beauty of experience and the amazing contributions that seniors make in Durham Region.

Through volunteering, working, supporting friends and family, sharing words of wisdom and more, seniors help to make our communities great!

Durham Region is proud to offer vibrant, diverse neighbourhoods with residents who speak almost every language, represent nearly every culture, and make up every age group. I encourage everyone to learn from each other’s experiences and value the beauty of experience together.”
