Chair Henry statement on Child Care Worker and Early Childhood Educator Appreciation Day

Whitby, Ontario – The following statement is being issued on behalf of John Henry, Regional Chair and Chief Executive Officer for The Regional Municipality of Durham:

“Today, I’m proud to celebrate Child Care Worker and Early Childhood Educator Appreciation Day in Durham Region.

This day recognizes the amazing work and dedication that child care professionals demonstrate, and the positive difference they make in our communities each and every day.

Child care professionals play an important role in helping create a high-quality early learning and child care system that is inclusive for all families and supports the intellectual, emotional, social and physical development of children.

In honour of Child Care Worker and Early Childhood Educator Appreciation Day, I would like to thank all of the amazing child care professionals working across the region, including our Early Years professionals for all that they do to make a positive difference in our community.”
