Construction on Adelaide Avenue East in Oshawa

Whitby, Ontario – The Regional Municipality of Durham, Works Department will be replacing watermains along a portion of Adelaide Avenue East (Regional Road 58) in Oshawa, causing lane restrictions until the fall.

When: Work is scheduled to begin on July 8 and should be complete by mid-November. Unfavourable weather conditions may influence the work schedule.

Where: Adelaide Avenue East, from Mary Street North to French Street, in the City of Oshawa.

Why: To safely replace a watermain.

Note: The Region realizes that the work is disruptive, and will make every effort to complete the work as quickly and efficiently as possible. Drivers are asked to exercise caution for the safety of pedestrians, cyclists and work crews. All businesses will remain open during construction.
