Construction on Bowmanville Avenue in Clarington

Whitby, Ontario – A section of Bowmanville Avenue (Regional Road 57) will be under construction until the end of the year. There will be lane restrictions and road closures as a result of the construction work.

When: Work is scheduled to begin April 1 and is expected to be complete by December. Unfavourable weather conditions may affect the work schedule.

Where: There will be ongoing lane restrictions on Bowmanville Avenue (Regional Road 57), from south of Concession Road 3 to north of Concession Road 4. A full road closure at Concession Road 3 will be required from April 15 to May 3.

Why: Work consists of road reconstruction and rehabilitation, intersection improvements at Concession Roads 3 and 4, and watermain replacement between Northglen Boulevard and John Matthews Drive.
