Durham Region 2023 Ontario Parasport Games 100-Day Countdown event
Whitby, Ontario – In April 2022, the Region of Durham announced that it was selected host the 2023 Ontario Parasport Games (the Games), set to take place February 3 to 5, 2023. As the excitement around the Games continues to build, the Games Organizing Committee is inviting the community to a 100-Day Countdown event!
Attendees will have the opportunity to learn more about the Games (including sponsorship and volunteer opportunities); meet para athletes and try out different parasports; snap a photo with the Ontario Games mascot, Pachi; and preview the 2023 medal design.
Doors will open at 4:45 p.m., and speeches will begin promptly at 5 p.m. Light refreshments will be provided.
The 100-Day Countdown event is open to the public and free to attend. Non-perishable food items will be collected in support of local food banks as part of the Games’ commitment to sustainability.
Please note that this is a wheelchair accessible location and the south parking lot will be designated for accessible parking. American Sign Language (ASL) translation will be provided during the presentation. Volunteers will be available to provide assistance, including wayfinding support.
