Durham Region and community partners host International Women’s Day Celebration
Whitby, Ontario – March 7 is the exciting International Women’s Day celebration in Durham Region. The Region’s International Women’s Day Committee is hosting a free in person event that will celebrate the achievements of women in the community. This year’s theme is Radical Restructuring: Empowering Women for Tomorrow.
What: Attendees will hear from keynote speaker, Paulette Senior, CEO of the Canadian Women’s Foundation, engage in a panel discussion with empowered, inspirational women, explore a women in business trade show and enjoy a networking lunch.
When: Tuesday, March 7, from noon to 4 p.m.
Where: Chestnut Hill Developments Recreation Complex, O’Brien Arena, 1867 Valley Farm Road, Pickering

Why: Durham Region is committed to supporting a gender equal world, free of bias, stereotypes and discrimination. This in person event celebrates the achievements of women and the contributions they continue to make to the region. It aims to raise awareness against bias and empowers us to take action to create a gender equal world.
