Durham Region hosting a 2022 municipal election information session
Whitby, Ontario – The Regional Municipality of Durham is inviting people in Durham Region interested in participating in a municipal election campaign to attend a 2022 municipal election information session on April 13.
Why: People in Durham Region who are considering running for municipal council or a school board, campaign managers and those that plan to register as a third party advertiser, will have the opportunity to get the information they need to be an informed election participant.
The information session will include a presentation by the Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Housing that will cover topics including the roles and responsibilities of elected officials, staff, and third party advertisers, eligibility rules, the nomination process, campaign finances and more.
When: Wednesday, April 13 from 7 to 8:30 p.m.
Where: Regional Municipality of Durham Headquarters

Participants may also watch the session virtually at durham.ca/livestream. For those who are not attending in-person, please submit your questions in advance, or during the presentation, by emailing clerks@durham.ca.
