Durham Region hosts Dnext. Innovation and Investor Summit
Whitby, Ontario –The Region of Durham’s Economic Development Division hosted the Dnext. Innovation and Investor Summit at Ontario Tech University in Oshawa today. It was an opportunity for innovators, investors and entrepreneurs to explore the region’s latest business prospects, technology breakthroughs and advancement in social innovation.
“Durham Region is an exciting place to be—filled with many opportunities for investors and entrepreneurs looking to make a positive impact in the community. As one of Canada’s fastest growing regions, we are committed to leading the way in the technologies and jobs of the future,” said John Henry, Regional Chair and Chief Executive Officer.
The summit covered a variety of topics including digital democracy, the future of entertainment media, social innovation, philanthropy and technology. A series of thought-provoking panel discussions and networking opportunities took place throughout the day before Alan Frew, Singer and Songwriter from Glass Tiger, gave the keynote address.
