Durham Region seeks members for the Energy from Waste – Waste Management Advisory Committee
Whitby, Ontario – The Regional Municipality of Durham is seeking individuals to serve as members of the Energy-From-Waste – Waste Management Advisory Committee (EFW-WMAC). This is a volunteer position that provides advice to the Works Committee on issues such as waste diversion, waste management, environmental performance and monitoring of the Durham York Energy Centre (energy-from-waste facility).
When: Submissions must be received by 5 p.m. on Friday, January 11, 2019.

Note: Interested residents are asked to provide a detailed resume with a cover letter outlining their interest and their qualifications. Information on why they should be selected for membership, detailing their knowledge of waste management practices and energy-from-waste, should be included in their submission. Previous participation or experience with committees and working groups will be considered an asset.
