Durham Region to host free event connecting local businesses with the film and television industry
Whitby, Ontario – The Durham Region Film Commission (Film Durham) will be hosting a free event for the business community to learn how they can conduct business with the film and television industry in Durham Region—and beyond. The Region of Durham offers a wealth of unique filming locations and is quickly growing as a preferred destination for the film and television industry. This presents a great opportunity for local businesses to generate new relationships and revenue sources, and grow the local economy.
What: Attendees will have the opportunity to meet industry professionals; network with business leaders; engage in panel discussions on topics including vendor relationships, insurance, advertising opportunities and more; and enjoy some delicious food from a local business.
When: February 23, from 2 to 5 p.m.
Where: Chestnut Hill Developments Recreation Complex, 1867 Valley Farm Road, Pickering.
Why: Production companies purchase a wide variety of goods and services from across the Greater Toronto Area including equipment, accommodations, transportation, food, personal services, post-production, costumes, construction, florists and much more—most of which are available right here in Durham Region.
