Durham Regional Council swears in new member

Whitby, Ontario – Today, at Regional Council, City of Oshawa Regional Councillor Doug Sanders completed his Declaration of Office and became a member of Durham Regional Council.

Councillor Sanders fills the vacancy left by the sudden passing of City of Oshawa Regional Councillor Nancy Diamond. Councillor Sanders was appointed to this role, by members of Oshawa City Council, during their March 20 meeting.

During today’s meeting, Councillor Sanders was also appointed to the Business Advisory Centre Durham (BACD) for the remaining term of council.
