Durham Region to host Waste Plan virtual Town Hall
Whitby, Ontario – Residents are invited to join Durham Region’s Director of Waste Management Services and other members of our Waste Management leadership team for an hour-long virtual Town Hall session on October 19.
Community members will have an opportunity to learn more about:
- The Region’s 2021-2040 Long-term Waste Management Plan (Waste Plan).
- The proposed targets and actions to achieve the plan’s approved vision and objectives.
The Waste Plan and proposed targets and actions were developed during the first phase of consultation with residents and stakeholders.
When: Tuesday, October 19 from 7 to 8 p.m.

Why: The Town Hall is a chance for residents to join the conversation and provide their feedback on the Region’s draft Waste Plan and Five-Year Action Plan before the new Waste Plan is finalized in 2022.
