Exchange broken blue boxes and green bins at three Durham Region events
Whitby, Ontario – The Regional Municipality of Durham is partnering with the City of Oshawa, Town of Whitby, City of Pickering, Town of Ajax and the Township of Scugog to offer free exchanges of damaged blue boxes and green bins at three physically distanced events.

Why: In appreciation of a continued community-wide commitment to the Region’s Blue Box and Green Bin programs, residents can exchange broken blue boxes and green bins at no charge. Quantities are on a first-come, first-served basis, while supplies last.
Green bins and blue boxes will also be available for sale (Visa, MasterCard, debit or e-transfer only).
Note: Masks are required and physical distancing is in effect. No Cash. Only Visa, MasterCard, debit and e-transfer will be accepted for purchases of new green bins or blue boxes.
