Feast On the Farm offers an immersive culinary experience; celebrates local chefs, food and drink
Whitby, Ontario – Presented by the Culinary Tourism Alliance, Feast On the Farm—a unique two-day, zero-waste event celebrating local food, drink and craftsmanship—is coming to Durham Region at Slabtown Cider Company (Slabtown Cider Co.) on September 18.
Local chefs, food producers and food lovers will come together for an afternoon of indulging in delicious food and drink, while supporting industry changemakers who are championing regenerative farming and sustainable practices.
Feast On the Farm’s Consumer Day is a ticketed event. Each ticket includes:
- A selection of dishes curated by Chef Alex Page; Roger Searle and Tim Pentz of Hawley Crescent Catering; and Niki Pagidas and Mike Crockford of Urban Pantry.
- Craft cider from Slabtown Cider Co.
- Craft beer from The Second Wedge Brewing Co.
- Small-batch spirits and cocktails from The Durham Distillery.
- Ontario Vintners Quality Alliance wines by Sustainable Winegrowing Certified wineries from across Ontario.
- A $25 Feast On gift voucher that can be redeemed at participating Feast On restaurants.

Why: Feast On the Farm’s Consumer Day is a fundraiser that supports recovery in Durham Region’s hospitality sector. Proceeds cover the cost of an industry education day, which provides learning and networking opportunities for industry professionals. Industry Day explores topics including regenerative farming, staff retention and sustainable seafood through interactive workshops, fireside chats and dynamic sessions hosted by industry leaders.
