Get news and updates from Durham Region’s Works Department

Whitby, Ontario – Durham Region’s Works Department has launched a new online newsfeed, Durham Works online, to keep residents informed about programs services such as waste management, water supply, sanitary sewerage, road maintenance and facilities maintenance and operation. Visit the page online at durham.ca/DurhamWorks.

The newsfeed is an online version of the Durham Works newsletter, a publication produced by the Works Department. The newsletter has been mailed to residents twice a year since 1996 and has won several awards, including first-place honours in the External Newsletter category from the National Association of Government Communicators – Blue Pencil Gold Screen awards. Now, content from the Durham Works newsletter is also available online in an accessible, easy-to-read, easy-to-share format!

“Since 1996, your Durham Region public Works Department has been communicating with residents through our Durham Works newsletter. It’s an important tool to educate residents about how they can help us do our jobs efficiently and effectively,” says Susan Siopis, Commissioner of Works. “To help our message reach even more residents, we’re excited to launch Durham Works online, making the articles easy to access at any time. In addition to the paper newsletter, the content is also available online for future reference, or to easily share with your family and friends using the Facebook and Twitter share buttons.”
