Help improve early learning and child care in Durham Region
Whitby, Ontario – The Regional Municipality of Durham, Children’s Services Division has launched its Early Learning and Child Care Survey to collect feedback from parents and caregivers on how to improve Ontario Early Years Centres and child care in Durham Region.
When: The survey will be available until April 3.
Where: Parents and caregivers of children 0 to 12 years old in Durham Region are invited to participate in the online survey at www.durham.ca/ELCC.
Why: Ontario is moving forward with its commitment to integrate and transform child and family programs. Four existing programs, funded by the Ontario government, will be integrated into Ontario Early Years Child and Family Centres (OEYCFCs).
Additionally, the Children’s Services Division is developing a comprehensive five-year Early Learning and Child Care Service System Management Plan, which will comply with the Ministry of Education guidelines for Consolidated Municipal Service Managers and the new Child Care and Early Years Act.
Note: Upon completing the survey by April 3, participants can enter their name into a draw to win one of 10 $50 gift cards to the grocery store of their choice.
