Home-based businesses: We want to hear from you!
Whitby, Ontario – The eleventh annual Business Count is underway and The Regional Municipality of Durham is encouraging home-based businesses to participate by completing the Business Count online at durham.ca/BusinessCount. The online form will be open until August 30.
The Business Count is a Regional project that aims to collect employment statistics and promote economic development initiatives. The project gathers data about local businesses, including the type and nature of the business, number of employees, plans for growth, floor space, and location.
Data and information collected through the Business Count will help the Region create programs to support local business growth, promote tourism assets, plan transit routes, update the local business directory, monitor and report on local business and economic trends, and plan for infrastructure needs. When seeking out suppliers, businesses are encouraged to utilize the Region’s online directory at durham.ca.
Sensitive data will be kept confidential and used only by the Region and area municipalities. To view the complete Terms of Use, please visit durham.ca/BusinessCount.
