Join us for the final Public Information Centre for the Cycling Wayfinding and Signage Strategy
Whitby, Ontario – The Regional Municipality of Durham is making it easier to navigate Durham Region by bike through the development of a Cycling Wayfinding and Signage Strategy. This initiative aims to introduce new, visually consistent signs to help residents and visitors navigate the cycling network. The Regional Municipality of Durham is holding an in-person Public Information Centre (PIC) for the new Cycling Wayfinding and Signage Strategy. The goal of this project is to provide users of all ages and abilities with a well-designed, intuitive, and organized wayfinding and signage system along the Region’s Primary Cycling Network.
When: June 5, from 6 to 8 p.m.
Where: Regional Headquarters, 605 Rossland Rd. E, Whitby ON, L1N 6A3
Why: Public consultation is an important part of the Cycling Wayfinding and Signage Strategy Project. Participants are encouraged to join the project team at this in-person PIC to ask questions, provide feedback, and learn more about the project. At the PIC the project team will share:
- An overview of the draft strategy and final outcomes.
- Progress of the project.
- Sign concepts and wayfinding elements.
Note: The materials presented at the meeting will be posted to the project webpage shortly after the meeting. If you are unable to attend the PIC, please review the PIC materials and submit your comments via email to Danielle.Culp@durham.ca. Comments are requested by June 19, 2024.
