Lane restrictions at the intersection of Thickson Road and Winchester Road East in Whitby

Whitby, Ontario – The Regional Municipality of Durham is advising residents of road rehabilitation at the intersection of Thickson Road (Regional Road 26) and Winchester Road East (Regional Road 3) in the Town of Whitby.

When: April 19 until June 4. Unfavourable weather conditions may influence the work schedule.

Where: The intersection of Thickson Road and Winchester Road East in Whitby.

Why: To safely complete road rehabilitation.

Note: Daily lane restrictions will be in place and scheduled road closures will be required throughout the project for road paving. Notice of road closures will be provided through social media and the Region of Durham website (durham.ca). Detour route signs will be posted ahead of the closures.

The Region realizes that the construction work will be disruptive and will complete the work as quickly and efficiently as possible. Drivers are asked to exercise caution for the safety of pedestrians, cyclists and work crews.
