Lane Restrictions on Durham Regional Highway 2 in the Municipality of Clarington

Whitby, Ontario – The Regional Municipality of Durham is advising residents of lane restrictions on Durham Regional Highway 2 in Newcastle, in the Municipality of Clarington.      

When: May 26 to November 30. Unfavourable weather conditions may influence the work schedule.

Where: Durham Regional Highway 2 from Cobbledick Road to Rudell Road, in Newcastle, in the Municipality of Clarington.

Why: To safely install a watermain, sanitary and storm sewers to support new development.

Note: The Region realizes that the construction work will be disruptive and will make every effort to complete the work as quickly and efficiently as possible.

Drivers are asked to exercise caution for the safety of pedestrians, cyclists and work crews.

Please be advised that in response to COVID-19, the Province of Ontario has identified the maintenance and repair of critical infrastructure, including roads, as an essential service.
