Lane restrictions on King Street East and Bond Street East in Oshawa due to watermain break
Whitby, Ontario – The Regional Municipality of Durham, Works Department advises residents of lane restrictions on King Street East and Bond Street East in Oshawa, at Riverside Drive, due to watermain repairs.
When: There will be lane restrictions on King Street East ongoing throughout the weekend. Bond Street East will have lane restrictions beginning Monday, March 4. Lane restrictions are expected to be lifted when work is complete, by Tuesday, March 5.
Where: One lane eastbound on King Street East and one lane westbound on Bond Street East, in the City of Oshawa.
Why: To allow equipment access to repair a watermain.
Note: Residents in the immediate area may experience a temporary water service interruption or decrease in water pressure on Monday during the repair. When the water service returns to normal, it is important for customers to turn on a cold water tap only and let it run for approximately five to 10 minutes to clean out any sediment that may have accumulated in your water service. This will avoid any sediment entering the hot water system.
The Region realizes that the work is disruptive, and will make every effort to complete the work as quickly and efficiently as possible. Drivers are asked to exercise caution for the safety of pedestrians, cyclists and the work crews.
