Lane restrictions on Kingston Road in Ajax

Whitby, Ontario – The Regional Municipality of Durham, Works Department would like to advise residents of lane restrictions on Kingston Road (Durham Highway 2), from east of Westney Road (Regional Road 31) to west of Harwood Avenue, in Ajax.

When: August 27 to October 2019. Unfavourable weather conditions may influence the work schedule.

Where: Kingston Road, from east of Westney Road to west of Harwood Avenue, in the Town of Ajax.

Why: Work includes storm sewer and watermain replacement; road widening and paving; sidewalk reconstruction; traffic signal replacements; and the construction of bus-only lanes and bicycle lanes.

Note: The Region realizes that the work may be disruptive, and will make every effort to complete the work as quickly and efficiently as possible. Drivers are asked to exercise caution for the safety of pedestrians, cyclists and construction workers.
