Lane restrictions on North Street in Newcastle in Clarington

Whitby, Ontario – The Regional Municipality of Durham is advising residents of lane restrictions on North Street in the community of Newcastle in the Municipality of Clarington.

When: May 15 to June 30, 2023. Unfavourable weather conditions may impact the work schedule.

Where: Lane restrictions will be in place daily from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on North Street (Regional Road 17), from 50 metres north of the Canadian Pacific Railway (CPR) Grade Separation to Monroe Street West, in Newcastle.

Why: The lane restrictions will be in place for construction work to support new development.

Note: The Region realizes that the work may be disruptive and will make every effort to complete the work as quickly and efficiently as possible. Drivers are asked to exercise caution for the safety of pedestrians, cyclists and work crews.
