Lane restrictions on Rossland Road West in Oshawa for watermain repairs
Whitby, Ontario – The Regional Municipality of Durham, Works Department advises residents of lane restrictions on Rossland Road West (Regional Road 28), from Ansley Court to Brookside Drive, in the City of Oshawa.
When: Ongoing until further notice. Unfavourable weather conditions may influence the work schedule.
Where: Westbound and eastbound lane restrictions on Rossland Road West, from Ansley Court to Brookside Drive, in Oshawa. Restrictions may increase during the repairs.
Why: To allow equipment access to repair a broken watermain and the surrounding area.
Note: Residents and businesses in the immediate area may experience a temporary water service interruption or decrease in water pressure during the repair. When the water service returns to normal, it is important for customers to turn on a cold water tap only and let it run for approximately five to 10 minutes to clean out any sediment that may have accumulated in your water service. This will avoid any sediment entering the hot water system.
The Region realizes that the work is disruptive, and will make every effort to complete the work as quickly and efficiently as possible. Drivers are asked to exercise caution for the safety of pedestrians, cyclists and the work crews.
