Lane restrictions on Simcoe Street South and Wentworth Street West in Oshawa
Whitby, Ontario – The Regional Municipality of Durham, Works Department advises residents of lane restrictions on Simcoe Street South (Regional Road 2) and Wentworth Street West (Regional Road 60), in the City of Oshawa.
When:
- Simcoe Street South: June 17 to 21.
- Wentworth Street West: June 17 to July 5.
Unfavourable weather conditions may influence the work schedule.
Where:
- Simcoe Street South: northbound lane restrictions, from Wentworth Street West to 75 metres south of Wentworth Street West, in Oshawa.
- Wentworth Street West: eastbound and westbound lane restrictions, from 30 metres west of Simcoe Street South to 90 metres east of Simcoe Street South, in Oshawa.
Why: To construct new entrances and medians to support new development.
Note: The Region realizes that the work is disruptive, and will make every effort to complete the work as quickly and efficiently as possible. Drivers are asked to exercise caution for the safety of pedestrians, cyclists and the work crews.
