Lane restrictions on Stellar Drive, Champlain Avenue and Thornton Road

This PSA has been updated to reflect the latest information. 

Whitby, Ontario – The Regional Municipality of Durham is advising residents of upcoming lane restrictions on Stellar Drive (Regional Road 25), Champlain Avenue (Regional Road 25A) and Thornton Road (Regional Road 52) in the Town of Whitby and City of Oshawa.  

When: Ongoing until September 22. Overnight work will be required on September 17 from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. September 18, and on September 18 from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. on September 19. Unfavourable weather may influence the work schedule.

Where: Lane restrictions will take place on Stellar Drive, Champlain Avenue, and Thornton Road in Whitby and Oshawa.

Why: To safely perform road surface asphalt paving.

Note: Drivers are asked to exercise caution for the safety of pedestrians, cyclists and work crews. Access to residential driveways will be maintained whenever possible.
