Lane restrictions on Taunton Road in Whitby

Whitby, Ontario – The Regional Municipality of Durham, Works Department would like to advise residents of lane restrictions on Taunton Road at the intersection of Baycliffe Drive in Whitby.

When: Work begins this week and is expected to continue until July 14. After July 14, construction work will continue but without lane restrictions; two lanes will be maintained in each direction on Taunton Road.

Unfavourable weather conditions may influence the work schedule.

Where: Taunton Road, at the intersection of Baycliffe Drive, in the Town of Whitby.

Why: Infrastructure improvements to support new development.

Note: Access to local driveways and businesses will be maintained at all times. The Region realizes that the work may be disruptive, and will make every effort to complete the work as quickly and efficiently as possible. Drivers are asked to exercise caution for the safety of pedestrians, cyclists and construction workers.
